Welcome to the online blog of graphic artist Crystal Nguyen. That’s me. But saying Noodle Puter is easier. Here you’ll see some of my latest works along with other shenanigans I’ve been up too.

Noodle Puter

Social Boy Composite:

This is my latest piece/concept. It’s kind of in honor of Gossip Girl since it ended. Although I never really watched the show…I just enjoyed glancing at the beautiful cast hah. None the less I wanted to do a photo composite piece. It’s two stock. Hope you like it. =)

Some of the things I tried to work on was redirecting the light in certain areas to make the photo seem more as one whole piece instead of a photo on top of a photo. I was also trying to create a very commercial and almost borderline HDR look to this piece.

Extraterrestrial Composite:

I’m not actually sure what I was trying to make really…but it turned into that. The main purpose of this was to try to create a certain mood. The mood that had came out was more of an extraterrestrial thing along with the piece having a certain illustrative look to it. Once again, redirecting light was a challenge but I am fairly happy with out it turned out. Especially with the cherry blossoms.

I just wanted to tell you personally (since you didn't have a reply button) that your latest photo manipulation is pretty awesome.. keep rockin.

Thank you very much!
This was a personal piece I did for fun. The concept of it was to highlight the good and bad side of each individual person. From the moment your life begins, you grow up with having two of these sides.

The difficult challenge for this was trying to composite all these photos and make it look like a smooth piece. The transitions on her skin from good to bad was a challenge but I eventually found a way to make it blend together so that its all one cohesive piece and not a photo, on top of a photo, on top of a photo.

High-End Photo Retouching:

This is my first attempt at high-end photo retouching. After studying material from famous retoucher, Natalia Taffarel I had tried to do a lot of the skin retouching with split frequency techniques as well as fixing the red tones in her skin. It is not Vanity Fair, Vogue, or W magazine ready- but I am satisfied with the first outcome. Still a lot more to learn.

This is my lyrical poster I made. I got the inspiration from Carly Rae Jepson’s “Turn Me Up” song. The song is fun and gives a new wave type vibe and this is my interpretation of it.

Everything here is made with the combination of Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop. The textures in the background were also created by me.

Typography Poster:

My latest lyrical poster. Inspired by the lovely Carly Rae Jepsen, song “Talk To Me.” The song is very pop and flirty. This is my interpretation of that.

Everything here was made in combination on Photoshop and Illustrator. I wanted to experiment with several different typefaces (all found on www.losttype.com) and along with various color bright color combinations.
